These two words perfectly describe some of the chemical reactions, which you will experience in our lab. Even though some physical and chemical reactions run very slowly and take a long time to study, we know how to speed them up. In order to do so, we’ll use substances called catalysts, which can significantly seep up a chemical reaction, not being a part of it. How is it possible? Find out in our laboratory. You’ll see how catalysts work and you will learn about the ‘active complex’. You’ll also test the impact of different compounds on the same chemical reaction and see what an ordinary potato has to do with it.
