Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of science, combining informatics, mathematics, physics and technical science.
During our robotics lab courses we increase our technological aptitude (by constructing robots), but also our skills in informatics (creating algorithms), we deepen our understanding of mathematics (by getting to know geometry) and physics (by learning how certain devices work, e.g. sensors and servomechanisms). We also encourage creativity.
Science also has some things in common with humanities: Karel Ĉapek was the first to use the term "robot" in 1920, while Isaac Assimov wrote of robotics in 1942, in his novel titled „Runaround”. That’s why it’s worth your time to visit our robotics lab!
