For a long time now, industrial robots have been successfully replacing people in dangerous and burdensome jobs. They can perform monotonous, repetitious actions with ease and precision. During this class at the robotics lab, students will learn about the design and operation of industrial robots and find out what applications they have. The task is to program a robot to draw a route out of a maze. To do so, the students will learn the programming language understood by the robot and how to operate it. An important part of an engineer’s job involves mathematical skills, especially the ability to use a coordinate system, so we will also discuss this issue. Students will translate between units of measure, measure segments, calculate the distance between points, etc. The robotics class also develops important skills of cooperation and working in a group. Divided into teams, students will make decisions together, develop an algorithm for the robot to follow, arrange the order of its tasks and its pace of movement.
The classes are conducted only in Polish.
