The person who turned out to be the 5-millionth visitor is Jarosław Tomczykowski from Legionowo, a student at the National Security Department of the Warsaw Military University of Technology. Jarosław visited the Copernicus Science Centre with his mother and his younger brother. They crossed the gates at about 11:20 am. They were not scared by cameras pointed towards them and the shower of confetti. They were happy to hear about the surprise, and gave a couple of television interviews without a sign of stage fright.
It was the first visit for the whole family but since today they will certainly come back here more often. It will be facilitated by a special gift: Membership cards, as it is impossible to see all the attractions of the Copernicus Science Centre during just one visit. Those who found out that it is true come here on average a dozen (or so) times a year. The Membership was created with this kind of people in mind. The Membership holders are given our best – unlimited access to our exhibitions, an opportunity to show their favourite place to their relatives, special discounts and additional attractions’ programme: preview shows, workshops, tours around usually inaccessible corners of the building. They are granted their everyday access to discoveries, experiments, and inspiration.
