The winners of the 7th edition of the ‘Life in Architecture’ contest for the best architectural facilities constructed in the years 2000-2012 have been announced. The seat of the Copernicus Science Centre was one of 120 nominated buildings. Apart from the main contest, special awards were also presented by members of the Polish Government. The building of the Copernicus Science Centre won the recognition of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The award for the best cultural facility or the best revitalisation was presented to Jan Kubrick, the architect of the Copernicus Science Centre. Congratulations!
‘Life in Architecture’ is a national contest aimed at promoting the best architectural achievements in Poland and fostering social interest in the role of architecture. The contest, organised by the ‘Architektura-murator’ monthly, was held under honorary auspices of Bronisław Komorowski, the President of the Republic of Poland.
