The Discovery Park has won the competition for the best architectural projects of 2011 in the category of “Public space and transport”.
Polish Architecture 2011 is a competition organised by the www.sztuka-architektury.pl website. The Discovery Park at the Copernicus Science Centre competed in the competition with nearly fifty projects deemed interesting architectural developments and events of the past year.
Winners in nine categories were chosen in voting by a professional jury and Internet users.
The green, open space adjacent to the Copernicus Science Centre was recognised (along with Air Traffic Control Tower in Łódź) as the best project in the category of „Public space and transport”.
The park, designed by RAr2 Laboratorium Architektury, has been open since July 2011. More information about the Discovery Park is available here.
