How much water can you squeeze out of yourself?
An adult’s body is 60% water. It’s possible to imagine but it’s always better to see things with our own eyes. Each one of us is an impressive body of water! Water is 83% of our blood, 75% of muscles and over 20% of bones. Every day we lose about 0.5 litre of water just because we breathe. Losing 10% of water poses real danger for the body, and losing 20% results in death.
Water for life
Filters help to make tap water drinkable. Come and get a chance to follow the whole process of water purification: drawing water from a well, oxidising, filtering and decontamination with UV light. There is a simple way to purify polluted water: just put it in a plastic bottle and place the bottle in full sun. After a couple of hours, the ultraviolet rays will have killed a vast majority of pathogens. Today, about 4 millions of people use this method of disinfection.
