The memorandum was signed at the opening ceremony of the Science Festival in Beijing. During the conference which was part of the event, the Copernicus Science Centre presented the Science Picnic of Polish Radio and its other activities.
The memorandum of understanding signed with the Beijing Association for Science and Technology covers cooperation and experience exchange between organizers of science festivals and institutions promoting science from all around the world. We have also become part of the Beijing International Science Festival Round-table Conference (http://bisfrc.kpzy.org/index.html).
The document has already been signed by ECSITE and EUSEA – European Science Event Association, i.e. two large organizations who work to bring together science centres, including the Copernicus Science Centre, and also plenty of institutions from Europe, USA, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, India, Serbia, Turkey, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. As far as Poland is concerned, the memorandum was also signed by representatives of the Lower Silesian Science Festival.
