The Coding Zone, sponsored by Samsung, our strategic partner, is located on the ground floor of the Copernicus Science Centre. It is a place where, under the supervision of our explainers, everyone, even primary school children, can learn the basics of Scratch, an object-oriented programming language.
It is enough to sit at a computer for 15 minutes in order to move a little figure change its outfit or even build a simple script. It may sound simple but it really gives everyone a lot of satisfaction!
Why is it worth becoming familiar with programming basics? Because it shapes the skills necessary in today’s world. Programming teaches logical thinking, finding solutions independently, drawing conclusions and develops teamwork and patience. Admission fee is included in the ticket to the permanent exhibitions of the Copernicus Science Centre.
Samsung, the strategic partner of the Copernicus Science Centre, is in charge of implementing “The Masters of Coding” educational programme.-This initiative received favourable reviews among teachers and the representatives of local and state authorities.
