Workshop: ANTIBIOTICS VS BACTERIA

Multiple drug resistance, one of the biggest challenges of today’s medicine, is the resistance of strains of bacteria to antibiotics. This means that many diseases, which for many years have been deemed curable, have again become a big threat to patients.

During the workshop, you will discover which antibiotics combat bacteria, how to utilise drugs properly so that they don’t impact the whole eco-system and which new therapies successfully replace antibiotics.

The workshops and the installation are part of SYNENERGENE project – developed at Copernicus Science Centre Biological Laboratory – that focuses on responsible research and development of Synthetic Biology, a new and fast growing discipline of biological research.
