Medialab: Internet of Things

Technology has the power to transform ideas into reality and open the doors to unknown future. Medialab Przemiany is a workshop for designers, scientists and representatives of the creative industry during which we will work with innovative technological solutions to try to better understand their influence on the reality of societies.

During the first stage of the workshop, we will build the Internet of Things network. Then the experts from the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies (CEZAMAT) will present potential uses and scope of impact of this technology for the socio-economic development. Next, together with constructors and designers from the CSC Exhibition Department we will work on the idea of an exhibit that will be included in the next year’s edition of the Przemiany Festival. The purpose of the exhibit will be to explain to visitors of the Festival the idea of the Internet of Things and its perspectives. It will be an opportunity for participants to use particular technologies in practice in an attempt to solve an abstract problem – which is to illustrate complex developmental processes. Due to the presence of experts and moderators, workshop participants are not required to have specialist competencies.

Workshop leader: Krzysztof Goliński (panGenerator)
Technology experts: Marcin Lelit, Ph.D. (CEZAMAT), Maciej Haras, Ph.D. (CEZAMAT)
Methodology experts: Barbara Malinowska (CNK), Anna Skrzypek (CNK), Michał Grzymała (CNK), Maciej Mieczkowski (CNK).
