Increased cooperation with the academic environment is an important success factor for research projects led in the Copernicus Science Centre.
So far we have signed partnership agreements with the following institutions:
- Maria Grzegorzewska University
- University of Social Sciences and Humanities
- Stanford University
- University of Warsaw
As part of cooperation we organise research project competitions. Scientists from the USSH together with the Copernicus Science Centre conduct research on the learning processes within exhibition spaces. Researchers from the USSH are invited to take part in the events organised by the CSC, during which they lead lectures and serve as experts. The agreement on scientific research cooperation between the CSC and the USSH was signed in July 2015.
In November 2015, in cooperation with the University of Warsaw we organised an international interdisciplinary science conference Cognitive adventures. For two days over 200 participants – representatives of the world of science, museums and education – took part in presentations and discussions with researchers from Poland, Great Britain, Holland and the USA. We had a special guest from the Stanford University, professor Paulo Blikstein, and professor Louise Archer from the King’s College London, whose presentation on the impact of science capital on students’ aspirations opened up a whole new area for cooperation with the University of Warsaw for the next few years.
Together with researchers and scientists from the above-mentioned institutions we conduct research projects and prepare conferences and publications.
