2011 was the year of Marie Skłodowska-Curie. In 1907 this Nobel prize winner founded the so-called Cooperative. Using simple materials in home surrounding, together with a group of friends she conducted an experiment as a part of two-year cycle. Kids of various ages were to explore nature by observing, experimenting and doing field research.
The scenario was inspired by extant notes of one of Curie’s pupils. During these courses the participants practiced different methods of working with a student and learned some simple, yet interesting experiments, which would explain the basic laws of physics and nature.
Each participant was given a special educational packet, containing all needed materials to conduct the 10 experiments we have chosen. You could also visit CSC.
Workshops and education packets were sponsored by the Warsaw Education Bureau..
