September to November 2011. Copernicus Science Centre made free workshops for teachers, middle school principals and staff of other education institutions using the "Climatic Box" education packet.
During the course, participants conducted experiments, discussed and swapped ideas. Workshops were held by Copernicus Science Centre staff and Young Explorers Club coaches.
The box contains designer didactical material on climate changes and protection. It was commissioned at Copernicus Science Centre by the Ministry of Environment and is a part of Partnership For Climate project. The "Climatic Box" contents include instructions and materials needed to conduct 10 interdisciplinary experiments, plus a Play Decide game, inspiring discussion on climate changes.
By the end of the workshop, each participant recieved one education packet. Teachers declared, that they want to use them during lessons and other after-school activities. The packet is linked to programme schedule on physics, geography and chemistry. Play Decide game can be played by students during civics and education class.
