Title of this gallery comes from published over 40 years ago “The Gutenberg’s Galaxy”, a famous book by Marshall McLuhan. We’re to translate questions posed there, questions regarding social changes brought about by evolution of human communication techniques, into language of interactive display. There will be stands presenting the influence of economic and technological factors on language that we use. we’ll also show how these factors influence human psyche and his relations with the environment. And today an individual’s environment equals everybody who uses electronic Network entwining our globe. In the Global Village one will be able to:

• check own predispositions to fill in social roles in a globalized world;
• feel how individual decisions made by each one of us become a collective, economical, political or social phenomenon;
• understand mechanisms of making collective decisions, techniques of influencing individuals’ outlook and choices they make;
• find out ways of solving global problems concerning humanity, problems caused by climate changes, epidemics, natural disasters;
• seek an answer for a question where does our civilization go;
• find out how do we listen to signals coming from the Universe and how to recognize among them transmissions from extraterrestrial, intelligent beings, as yet unknown to us.
