Black Holes. Journey into the Unknown

Black holes fascinate us with their uncharted mysteries. What do we know? Find out how they come to exist, and what happens inside!

We will trace the history of research leading us to understanding the nature of these extraordinary objects. Starting from 18th century scientists, John Michell and Pierre Simon de Laplace, through the achievements of Albert Einstein, all the way to contemporary observations made possible thanks to modern telescopes, like Chandra X-ray Observatory or Parkes Observatory radio telescope. The film will also take a closer look at questions connected to the general theory of relativity. Before the screening, there will be a live show conducted by Planetarium explainers.
