About the Band:

Light Star Guiding has been active on the music scene since 2018. They have released a studio album that resonated widely with listeners and radio stations. One of their first performances took place at the "Tchnienia" festival, where they were joined on stage by Hania Rani. The group consists of musicians well known in the jazz and alternative scenes. The project’s leader, Mikołaj Poncyljusz, is a guitarist, composer, sound engineer, and music producer. He is primarily associated with the band HoTS (three albums, including one live recording). He also plays in Niechęć, Skerebotte Fatta, Robactwo, Infant Joy Quintet, Deviant Blues, and Ryby. Drummer Dominik Mokrzewski excels both in large ensembles (such as the Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra) and in traditional jazz groups (like Infant Joy Quintet). Michał Załęski has been a finalist and winner of prestigious jazz competitions, including Jazz Juniors, Krokus Jazz Festival, and the Tarnów Jazz Contest. In addition to LSG, he currently plays in the band Niechęć. American tenor saxophonist Ray Dickaty can be heard on albums by Polish artists such as Bartek Tkacz, Trifonidis Free Orchestra, and Wojciech Kwapisiński. He has played in the psychedelic rock band Spiritualized, the post-rock group Moonshake, and his own noise rock improv project Skree.
