Aleksandra Bobrowska
A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and Haute école de musique de Genève. She has performed in most European countries, as well as in Japan and the United States. She promotes music written by women – her latest concert programs include a recital with transcriptions of songs by Irena Wieniawska (Poldowski) and poetry by Paul Verlaine. She performs music on contemporary and historical pianos as a soloist and chamber musician and recorded 43 Chopin Mazurkas on a historical piano. She is the co-founder of Help Musicians Ukraine, the founder and president of the Gdańsk Culture Foundation, and the organiser of the “Syrena” Tri-City Festival of Women’s Creativity.
