See the world from a completely new perspective – through a microscope. Take a closer look at samples of plants, feathers and other things hiding in plain sight – in gardens, kitchens, forests and even… inside pillows. Look a hornet in the eye, compare the fur of polar and brown bears, and examine sand from different beaches.
Using Samsung devices and augmented reality, you’ll explore 3D anatomical and educational models. You’ll also discover how sunglasses work and how they protect us from UV radiation. The activities are based on interdisciplinary learning scenarios available in the Orbium kit, developed jointly by the Copernicus Science Centre and Samsung.
Science Mix & Match is an activity station with something for everyone. Build your own musical instrument, listen to sounds that usually escape our ears, be amazed by optical illusions, step through a sheet of paper and push a stick through a balloon without popping it.
There’s even more to discover: electrifying science demonstrations in the famous High Voltage Theatre and robotics workshops where you’ll get to programme a rover!
