This weekend, Marjolein van Breemen, a member of the Programme Council of the Copernicus Science Centre, passed away unexpectedly.

She was the Director of the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden and a member of the ECSITE Programme Committee. She was a highly respected figure within the community of museums and science centres. In her honour, the Naturalis Museum has lowered its flag to half-mast.

Traffic Disruptions Around Copernicus

Due to preparations for the Polish Armed Forces Day celebrations, some streets near Copernicus will be closed to traffic in the coming days. Before your visit, we recommend checking current updates on the Warsaw Public Transport website, and we also suggest using the Warsaw Metro to reach us.

We will be closed at the beginning of June.

From June 1 to 6, the Exhibitions will be closed. From June 2 to 5, the Planetarium will also be closed. We are hosting the international ECSITE conference, gathering 1,000 science communicators, during this time.
