Following the example of previous years, in 2026 Copernicus will once again observe “Quiet Hours” once a month, from 13.00 to 18.00. During this time, loud exhibits and devices emitting harsh or strobe lighting will be switched off. A quieter show will be presented in the High Voltage Theatre. More information is available on the Without barriers webpage.

It is estimated that currently one in every hundred children is born with conditions within the autism spectrum. People on the spectrum experience sensory stimuli differently, and even a short stay in a noisy environment can be tiring and cause distress or irritability.
By taking part in the “Quiet Hours” initiative, we aim to ensure that people on the spectrum and with sensory sensitivities can enjoy our offer without unnecessary stress, anxiety or judgement from others. During “Quiet Hours”, loud exhibits are switched off. Devices emitting harsh or strobe lighting are separated from other exhibits and clearly marked. Tickets may be purchased without extended queuing at the priority ticket desk (No. 5).
We are a partner of the “Quiet Hours” initiative run by the Jim Foundation.
