Science Has a Voice

It is a joint project of the Copernicus Science Centre and the Minister of Science and Higher Education. It is a new component of the Science For You programme, which we have been implementing together with the minister since 2018. Over the years, we have noticed that there is a need – especially among the young people – to interact with the scientists in order to better understand science. In the project Science Has a Voice, we address the topic of trust in science, which consists of trust in scientists, scientific institutions and scientific knowledge. It has a pilot character and will last for three years.

Project objectives

  • building public confidence in science and the methods that lead to the development of scientific knowledge,
  • improving the competences of scientists and female scientists in engaging science communication,
  • developing science communication formats and preparing training materials for male and female scientists in order to disseminate and consolidate such impacts,
  • implementation of a research project resulting in the development of knowledge on the relationship between science communication and attitudes of trust towards science,
  • creation of networks and models of cooperation between scientists and researchers and non-formal education institutions: Copernicus Science Centre and local partner centres SOWA.
